POETRY: Slow

sea

Slow

Music touches me in ways I’m too ashamed to say

Your voice feels like the sea breeze

My heart’s racing but I’m

Slow

Dancing to no music

I’m so weak yet strong

this food tastes so damn good

I am speaking fast but I sound

Slow

Walking on the beach

The moon is creeping on me but I don’t mind

I think the sky is in all shades of colour blind

We’re falling into the water fast but we crash into it

Slow

Motioning you towards me

As we keep chasing waterfalls

Fast tides

Feet slides

And a head collision making me go down

Slow

  1. This was all shades of pleasant reading. Most definitely would be awesome in a song; easy listening… each verse having its lilt in “slow” would bring it home, yeah.
